หลายคนอาจมองว่าผู้หญิงบนดอยมีหน้าที่แค่ดูแลบ้าน เลี้ยงลูก หรือทำงานในไร่ไปวันๆ แต่จริงๆ แล้ว วิถีชีวิตที่ทำอยู่ทุกวันนี่แหละคือ สิ่งที่มีค่าที่สุดสำหรับสตรี
วันนี้กลุ่มสตรีบ้านผาละปิ ชุมชนปกาเกอะญอเลยตกลงใจกันว่า จะไม่หยิบแค่จอบเสียม แต่จะหยิบกล้องขึ้นมาด้วย สิ่งที่ทำให้ลุกขึ้นมาฝึกถ่ายรูป ฝึกทำคลิปวิดีโอ เพื่อจะบอกเล่าเรื่องราว ของดีฝีมือผู้หญิงดอยให้ทุกคนได้เห็น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นข้าวไร่หอมๆ แตงดอยหวานๆ หรือผักกาดแห้งที่เป็นภูมิปัญญา สิ่งเหล่านี้ไม่ได้มีไว้แค่กินกันเองในครอบครัวอีกต่อไป แต่มันคือผลิตผลที่ทำด้วยหัวใจ ซึ่งเราอยากส่งต่อให้คนรอบๆตัวได้ชิมและรู้จักที่มาของมันจริงๆ
ที่ผ่านมา คนอื่นอาจจะเป็นคนเล่าเรื่องที่เป็นเรื่องเล่าที่เล่าต่อๆกันมา แต่คราวนี้ เรื่องราวทั้งหมดจะแกมาจากผู้ที่ทำเองและกินเอง เพราะภาพที่ถ่ายด้วยมือและเรื่องที่เล่าด้วยปากเจ้าของ มันคือความจริงที่จริงใจที่สุดอยากให้ก้าวเล็กๆ ครั้งนี้ ช่วยสร้างรายได้มาดูแลครอบครัว และที่สำคัญคืออยากให้ลูกหลานของเราภูมิใจว่า วิถีชีวิตปกาเกอะญอของเรานั้นสวยงามและมีคุณค่าเพียงใด

While indigenous women are often perceived as being limited to domestic roles and subsistence farming, our daily livelihood in the rotational forest is actually our greatest asset.
The women’s group of Ban Pha La Pi is now stepping beyond traditional roles by integrating modern communication tools into our daily lives. By learning photography and video production, we aim to showcase our community’s unique products—such as upland rice, mountain cucumbers, and traditional fermented vegetables. These products represent our wisdom and heart, transformed into sustainable livelihoods.
We believe that the most authentic stories are those told by the practitioners themselves. By capturing our own images and sharing our own narratives, we are reclaiming our identity and ensuring our children recognize the value of Pwo Karen culture. This initiative is about more than income; it is about dignity and the preservation of our way of life.
